REVIEW: Miga Korean Restaurant in Glynde, Adelaide

10:14:00 PM

This is one of my favourite korean places in Adelaide.
I feel like the prices are pretty reasonable for the portion that you get and especially the taste.
Hey, looking at that photo just makes you drool, ey?
So, let's get started on this food review!

That's pretty much how the restaurant looks like.
Honestly it's pretty small but I'd probably call it cozy than small.
The staff there were pretty quick to lay menus down as soon as we sat.

They've got quite a variety. There are different dishes of bibimbap, soups that come with a bowl of rice, and many more.
So after many arguments in my head, I managed to decide what I wanted.
There was four of us so we ordered

Beef Hot Pot Bibimbap | Hot Pot Bibimbap with Fish Roe, Fried Kimchi, and Veges | Bibimbap with Sashimi | Spicy BBQ Pork with Rice | Spicy Pork Bone Soup | Soft Tofu Soup with Seafood

This came first, which is the usual refillable side dishes that you get in a korean restaurant.
So this is just your standard kimchi and bean sprouts.
The bean sprouts were alright but the kimchi was real good so be sure to refill that!

Beef Bibimbap in Hot Pot ($15.50, comes with miso soup)
One of the best bibimbap I've tasted in Adelaide.
It's probably due to the type of vegetables that they use.
I've found other places that use fresh salad vegetables like romaine which, in my opinion do not go well with bibimbap at all.
I'd prefer it with a little more meat but this was fine anyway.
Their bibimbap sauce was delicious and a perfect way to tie all the flavours together.
Big thumbs up for this bibimbap!

Bibimbap with Sashimi ($15.00, comes with miso soup)
My friend ordered this, and I didn't really get to try it so I can't say much.
However, I'm guessing it's pretty much like a Japanese Sashimi Rice Bowl.

Bibimbap with Fish Roe, Fried Kimchi and Veges in a Hot Pot ($14.50, comes with miso soup)
Unfortunately guys, didn't get to try this either.
When it comes to bibimbap, I don't know I just move more towards the one with beef.
It does look and smell good though.

Spicy BBQ Pork ($15.50, comes with rice and salad)
Lewis had this one.
I tasted a little bit of this and it was not bad. Quite nice actually.
I just prefer bibimbap over it.
But it's definitely tasty as well.

Soft Tofu Soup with Seafood ($15.50, comes with a bowl of rice)
This soup tasted really good.
Best thing about the soups is you get to control the level of spiciness.
If you can't handle the spice, just tell them to tone it down when you order.
We had a friend who couldn't take it so we ordered this one with less spice.
Nevertheless, it was still pretty delicious.
Would've probably liked a little more seafood in it though, but apart from that it was great!

Spicy Pork Bone Soup ($15.90, comes with a bowl of rice)
Finally, what I've been raving about and waiting to tell you all about.
THIS, is literally the best korean soup I've ever tasted so far in my life.
Since we ordered the other one with less spice, we ordered this extra spicy and it was so so SO GOOD.
If you guys don't know what to order if you visit Miga, ORDER THIS
Of course, order it according to your spice preference but you will definitely not regret it.
The soup is so delicious and tasty.
I'm not a fan of eating meat off the bones but if you are, you'd love it.
