REVIEW: Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner

Etude House's Wonder Pore Freshner
Yes, it's spelled freshner and not freshener (the correct spelling), don't ask me why!
I got a 500mL bottle of this from YesStyle Australia for $31.41
Now, this products claims to be 10-in-1 having 10 benefits which are:
- Balance skin's ideal pH level
- Refine skin tone
- Keeps elasticity of pores
- Removes dead skin cells from the skin's surface
- Cleanse pores with cooling effect
- Deep cleanse pores
- Minimize appearance of pores
- Moisturizes skin
- Controls sebum
- Smoothes the skin
Ingredients: Water, Alcohol, Butylene glycol, Betaine, Peppermint extract, Vaccinium myrtillus fruit/leaf extract, Sugarcane extract, Lemon fruit extract, Orange fruit extract, Chamaecyparis obtusa water, Gingko biloba leaf extract, Sugar maple extract, Gentiana lutea root extract, Artemisia absinthium extract, Arnica montana flower extract, Achillea millefolium extract, Glycereth-26, Glycerin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium hyaluronate, Acetic acid, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol
Looking at the ingredients, alcohol is the second most concentrated ingredient in the list which, every skincare-lover would know.
That's why if you've got sensitive skin, I suggest not trying this product and go for a milder product.
I've been using it for a couple of months now.
It comes in a big plastic bottle, and the way you get the product out of the bottle is absolutely adorable (maybe it's because I never came across something like this before).
Basically, you get a cotton pad, press it down and the liquid comes out from the top.
Cool huh?
The consistency of it is really watery and it doesn't leave any residue.
I don't notice much of a smell coming from it, maybe someone with a sensitive nose would notice a really slight minty/alcohol smell?
I don't see much of a difference in the size of my pores. However, I do like how this really wipes away all the excess oil on my face, making my face feel really clean and fresh. I'll probably continue using this especially during the summer when my face gets too oily during the day.
THE FINAL VERDICT
Pros:
Light fresh smell
Didn't cause break outs
Wipes off oil for a fresher feel
Cons:
Alcohol (may be too harsh for certain skin types)

Repurchase: No, because this huge bottle would last me forever & I'm keen on trying other products

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :) try using the actually aloe Vera gel! It'll work even better :)
DeleteWhat i notice about this is the size and how cute the bottle is. Having alcohol in it also not suitable to my skin.
ReplyDeleteYes unfortunately it has alcohol so it's not suitable for people with sensitive skin. Don't worry, I'll be sure to do a review for toners without alcohol in them as well :)
DeleteLooks like a great product.. Unfortunately v don't get this brand here in India.. Keep up the good work..thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you can buy it online :) No worries!
DeleteKorean celebrities look awesome, just as anyone who has a career in TV would. LOL But based on your recommendation, I would definitely check this wonder pore freshner out.

DeleteI have sensitive skin so alcohol in the product will make my skin dry and itchy. But the packaging is cute!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, yeah it won't be suitable for you. But not to worry! I'll find one that's affordable, effective and safe for sensitive skin as well :)

DeleteSaw this before and I really found the packaging nice... I want to try it but my current products have not finish yet...
ReplyDeleteWell finish up those products and try this! You won't regret :)
DeleteI have use this before. It do help to minimize the pores but it takes time. recommended product.
ReplyDeleteYes! :) It's really good and also minimise oil production!
DeleteThanks for sharing this. Those I do think it will do its job of tightening pores, the alcohol content will not be good for the skin in the Long run
ReplyDeleteThe alcohol is fine as long as you don't have sensitive skin. Alcohol in this case is used to clean away the excess oil :)
DeleteThanks for sharing this beauty product, will consider it as am worry my skin whether will sensitive towards the alcohol contains. Cheers,SiennyLovesDrawing
ReplyDeleteYeah if you've sensitive skin then better not try this. It may irritate your skin and cause it to break out
